I have a G4 and use safari for most of my internet usage however I seem to have a recurring problem with my mouse. I can be typing or spending time on one page and after a few seconds my cursor has disappeared and I have to re-click the page to bring the cursor back - this is extremely annoying. Does anyone know what I have done or how to fix this? Please help!

No not wireless. I have changed the mouse twice just in case it was that, but it wasn't :(

I googled "mouse cursor disappears", and it appears to be a fairly common problem and the general consensus is that it has something to do with your display (video) drivers. Here are a couple of sites that exemplify the problem. The one I cited, below, is for a PC, but it shows the idea.

"Firstly this is a known problem. ... Its all to do with how the operating system changes the screen resolution. When you or the system alter the screen resolution (like when you exit a game) the graphic card memory has to be completely reconfigured. Go to the NVidia web site and download the latest drivers for you card. The fact that your system is less than a year old means nothing. Make sure you have the latest driver.

Most of the responses are from people using Windows, but there are plenty of them from people who use Macs (I googled "mouse cursor disappears macintosh"). I'm not sure if you can update your video drivers or not.

What model G4, eMac, iMac MacBook?
This is a common problem in the Macbooks for example but this problem dose not appear in the desktops the solution given above is good for the eMacs in most cases also run your software updates from under the apple menu

So from this I would wager you are running a HacIntosh ASUS dose have limited support for the HacIntosh.
