My daughter has graduated tonight. I am paying support for two children. I understand that I can petition the court to reduce the child support. Louisiana law does not provide for college education plus I have found out that she has enlisted in the navy as well. My wages are garnished so I know this is the only way to get the child support reduced. I need information on how to type up the petition. Can anyone help me find a link to documents or information on a petition to reduce child support?

Your best bet would be to go to the court of jurisdiction and ask them in person.
It is family court and they will accept most anything as long as it gets your point across. A simple letter stating that the situation has changed and you would like your support to reflect the changes would most likely suffice.
But again, best bet is to ask the court clerk.

Is the supprt being paid through an agency or directly to your ex ? Also what does the paperwork state for court ordered child support. Some states have it run until 18 but in most cases its 18 AND finished High School or 19 max.
What does your paperwork say about it ?
If it ends at 18 and you pay to an agency you should have contacted them months ago. But you can still contact them and they may help in getting it changed.
