I have some questions about birth control so if some of you could please explain it to me id love it, thanks

|-= if you are on birth control does that mean there is no chance to get pregnant?
|-= how do you know where to get it?
|-= is it safe to use health wise?
|-= how do you know what kind to get ?
|-= does it always stop you from getting pregnant if your having unprotected sex?
|-= will it always work?
|-= if the male does not "release" in you does that mean there is no chance of getting pregnant.

and if you would like to tell me anything else about it your comments are welcome.

Birth control is not 100% effective. In fact no method other than abstinence can guarantee you won't get pregnant.

You should have a thorough exam from your gyno so that he/she can assess the best methods for you. You may have to go back for several follow-ups to have the prescription tweaked. You can also go to a Planned Parenthood clinic if you have one nearby.

There are health risks associated with birth control pills (blood clots, high blood pressure are some which and these risks are increased if you smoke) and your doctor will outline those depending on the method you decide to go with. Certain brands of pills have side effects (migraines, upset stomach) so again, you may have to have your dosage tweaked to find what works for you.

Even if you are you using pills, it's best to use a back-up form of birth control (condoms, spermicidal jellies, etc.)

Keep in mind, there are other forms of birth control for women, not just pills. Ask your health care provider about the Nuva Ring, the patch, the Depo shot just to name a few.

Had to spread the rep NM but well done.

Just one thing to add. Even if you use many different birth control devices at once there is still the chance of pregnancy.

Also, the pill does not protect against STD's

Let me spell this out for you

|-= if you are on birth control does that mean there is no chance to get pregnant?

No, there is no form of birth control that is 100% effective aside from abstinence and sterilization.

|-= how do you know where to get it?

You go to your doctor.

|-= is it safe to use health wise?

This depends on your overall health. Are you a smoker? What is your age? Any other health problems?

|-= how do you know what kind to get ?

Aside from the condom the doctor will prescribe the right birth control for you.

|-= does it always stop you from getting pregnant if your having unprotected sex?

Again no. There is no safe form of sex unless you have had a hysterectomy.

|-= will it always work?

See the answer above.

Finally, sex = pregnancy. If you want to get on birth control you must visit your doctor and follow the directions EXACTLY, even then it's not a sure thing.

GRRRRRR
I just replied to this thread in another topic, then reported it for being in a 3rd topic..

Please DO NOT post the same question multiple times in different forums, wastes people time.

Actually, it's against the rules to double post, so it's not just annoying but it can get you banned.

Time to read the rules.
