I have a 6 week old kitten. He was given to me at 4 weeeks old. I woke up this morning and he has black gooey stool. He's not being as active as he's been the past couple weeks. I wormed him the other day too. I was wondering if his ailment is because he didn't get as much nutrition from his mother cat as he should have or if it's something completely different.

It is most likely from the worming tablets. Although yes, 4 weeks is far too young to take a kitten.

If his stools are slighty runny or soft you need to make sure he is getting plenty of fluids.

If he is acting lethargic or has any other symptoms take him to the vet asap.

If the soft stools continue for more than 2 days, get him to a vet asap aswel.

What kind of worm medicine was used? It could be from the worm medicine.
