My 4 year old "winnie" dog/Jack Russell is passing a gel like stool. Yesterday we noticed him dragging his hind parts across the floor and leaving a red stain. We watched him thinking it was a "fisher" or some sort of tear in his back side. Well today it has changed to this gel like stool and I don't know what to do or think. Yesterday he was acting fine. Running and playing like normal. Late last night and now he is lying around. I have to watch him closely because the red "goo" is sometimes still there.

Can someone please advise me about this?

Please take you dog to the vet asap!
He could have any one of a number of things from worms to a bowel obstruction.
