We recently bought a house and have had a few plumbing woes. The first time I used the washer, when the water drained out, I had bubbles in the toilet. The next time I used the washer and the water drained out, we had backup in the shower and the tub. I have used the washer three times since then and nothing has happened. I tried to flush the toilet this morning and it would not go down. It didn't overflow, but it didn't drain out. The next time I flushed it, it drained out and came back with air bubbles. What do I do?? Help!!

You have a partial blockage in the drainage downstream from the bathroom group. The solution is to snake oiut the line from the lavatory roof vent. Put out enough cable to get to the base and about 25 feet more. After you're finished flush the line out by cycling the washer. Good luck, Tom
