I have an old Admiral washer Model number: LNC6743A71 that will not spin out on any timer spin cycles. Everything else works OK. I have checked the door switch and it is OK. Any help?
Tks.

RAYMAX - I THINK THAT THIS IS YOUR PROBLEM:: Under the tub on the motor there are two
SOLENIODS <ONE CONTROLS THE AGITATOR AND THE OTHER CONTROL:S THE SPIN{ THAT IS IF THE SWITCH IS WORKING RIGHT:: } TO TEST THESE YOU WILL NEED A{ VOLT -OHM
METER ONE THAT IS Capable OF HANDLING 250 volts a/c power';; IF you don't have one you can get one at Lowe's in the electrical dept. OK NOW YOU HAVE THE VOLT-OHM M<ETER:: TURN IT O N AND SET IT TO THE RX-100 scale;; PULL THE POWER CORD OUT OF THE WALL RECEPTICAL: PULL THE WASHER OUT FROM THE WALL:: NOW REMOVE THE ACCESS PANEL FROM THE BOTTOM BACK :: [ NOTE]- ON SOME MODLES THE SOLENIOLDS ARE INTERNAL AND YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE MOTOR AND TAKE IT TO A SHOP TO BE REPAIRED;; #1- remove a wire lead from one of the soleniolds and clip one of the meter probes to the wire terminals #2- if the meter reads 250 TO 1000ohms- THE soleniold is good ::if it reads higher then it is defective ansd needs replaced} :: if it is good replace the wire you removed ande test the other soleniold the same way { note } - it IS HIGHLY RECOMMENED THAT BOTH SOLENIOLDS IS CHANGED AT THE SAME TIME;; #3- if all is OK and done put the access panel back on ,move washer back to wall and plug it back in < give it a test run :: I hope that I have solved your problem and it is back working:: if not I can tell you how to test the switchs:: if I have answered your question please rate my answers using the orange box below :: have a better day and god bless:: f.b.e.
