The father (God), The son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. Okay I get that but what I don't understand is how they are a the same person. I mean is Jesus is the son of God right? Then why do so many refer to Jesus as God?

I 'll try to be simple...
A son of man is no less than man himself. A son of a dog is no less than a dog itself.
God said that EVERYTHING gives birth to its own kind and that as God said , is good!
So the Son of God is no less than God Himself!
Do not picture The Son from the moment of His incarnation. The Father gave birth to The Son before time!
How can the Father and the Son be one?
Scripture helps us understand in a way..
When God created Eve from Adam's side that was also a birth because when something comes out of something else , this is a birth.
It is written that man and woman are no longer two , but one no matter how strange that sounds, it is so!
Man and woman in a marriage are not two but one.So is the Father and the Son.
Even though they are two persons they are only one God, just like a man and a woman are for sure two persons but in God's eyes they are only one!
One more thing is that in Hebrew a son of , also means in the image of!

I agree with adam7gur except the Bible says that the Son(Jesus) was in the beginning with God and was God. John 1:1-3 Since the Son is the Fathers only begotten, Jesus from the beginning was positionally a Son before time. Though they are always in perfect agreement, the Son is obedient to the Father. The Son glorifies the Father, the Holy Spirit glorifies the Son. Since God is infinite it is impossible for finite man to comprehend the nature of their being 3 persons in the one God. The closest thing I can think of is Just as man is mind, body, and soul, Thinking of the Father as the mind,(since the body acts under direction of the mind) Jesus as the body(since he is God in the flesh) and the Holy Spirit as the soul or Spirit. All three are in unity and of one accord.
I know it's a poor illustration but it's the best I can come up with. We, being sinful often live up to(or down to) the words of Jesus when he said, "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak."

Is there a beginning for God?What does the Word of God mean when He says ''in the beginning''?
God has no beginning,right?
Furthermore, the Greek text says that ''In the beginning was the Word and the Word was TO God,and God was the Word''.
Not with, but to !

The greek word "tov" (I don't have a greek letter typeset) is almost always translated "with" not "to" - sometimes "towards" even if it did mean "to" how does that make a difference other than it's more difficult to understand?
Just as Jesus said, I am the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end the first and the last.
One of those infinite things hard for finite man to comprehend because we cannot conceive of anything before a beginning. True, God has no beginning so I really can't (and no one else can) give you a definite answer on what God meant by "In the beginning" My thought is that "in the beginning" means as best we are able to comprehend what "in the beginning" means

No one understands what the Trinity really is, Cindy. Christians have been trying to explain it for two thousand years, but every analogy ultimately fails for one reason or another. It is to be taken on faith.
The word itself never occurs in the Bible and the problem arises in the early centuries of Christianity as people try to understand what it means for Jesus to be God. The early Church fathers sought verification in the Old Testament and came up with several verses indicating a "plural" God, or at least instances of God referring to himself in the plural as "We".
This satisfied enough of the Church fathers to basically vote "in" the idea of the Trinity at one of the Councils and it has been there ever since. Some Christian sects have never accepted the idea, but they are not in the mainstream.

We have many body parts that make up one body. We are made in Gods image.
God is made up of different parts but all of them together make the one God.

There are so many beliefs on the holy trinity that its hard to get a good answer.
The best way I have ever been told, was that the holy trinity is like an egg. You have the shell, the yoke, and the white. Its still all EGG.
I hope this helps a little. I understand your frustration. Some things we will never fully understand until we are at HIS side and we can ask Him directly :)
But I do believe them all to be separate. Jesus never once said 'it is MY power' he always said it was his fathers power. He never prays to himself. Nor does he preform healing himself. He heals in the name of his father.
So I believe god and jesus to be separate. But both part of the holy spirit.
Does that makes sense? Lol

This is how I think about the Holy Trinity. I am a wife, a mother, a teacher, but I
Am one person. God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Looking at it this way I got
A better understanding of the Trinity.
Today the Holy Spirit indwells all believers in Christ. Paul wrote, "For by one
Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jew or Greeks, whether slave or
free, and have all been made to drink into one Spirt" (1 Cor. 12:13).
The apostle John wrote, "By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because
He has given us of His Spirt"(1 John 4:13). Christian believers everwhere are
Filled with the Spirit. The presence of the Holy Spiriit is a source of great assurance.
''If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His" Rom 8:9).
We know we belong to Christ because His Spirt dwells in us.

H2O is the most simple example for me. Water can be manifested in all three states of matter, and still each state is useful. The creator of life has always wished to have an intimate relationship with his creation,so he has chosen to present himself in every form usefully. Each state of water is dependent on another(i.e. must have water to produce steam or ice, rain comes from clouds of vapor, etc.) The same is true of the creator, to know the father you must have the son.
