My husband and I are currently renting a house from century 21. We've been here for a year and just resigned the lease in February. We would like to move to a one story home (currently in a 2 story) but stay with the same company. Do you think they would let us move now or would we have to wait until next February when this year's lease is up? Thanks in advance

No, the management group has nothing to say on this, it is the owners of the hosue, Century 21 ( my guess anyway) is not the owner just the management group that handles these homes for the owners. If the same person owns them they may let you out of your lease and change homes for a small fee.

But most likely home "A" is owned by one person who will hold you to the lease while home "B" is owned by someone else

Agreed, you really won't know unless you ask, there's no harm in looking into it... just don't sign any lease on the new home until you have something in writing releasing you from the lease of the current home.

I think you are on the hook for the full lease and do not forget to make proper notice of intent to not renew next year. C21 is the renatl agent collecting a fee from the own who you owe monthly rent until 2-10.

Thanks for all your input. I was planning on calling and asking if there was a chance but I suppose we'll just wait until next year. Thanks again

No harm to ask but now you won't be too surprised when they say no.
