My daughter sent me a copy of her transcript. It appears to be a Transcript.DAT file. I have tried to open with notepad,wordpad,adobe,excel,office. How can I open this?

Ask her to resend to you, you can't open a DAT file. Ask her to zip the files first.

Try to rename it to ".DOC" or ".TXT" and see if you can open it that way. Sometimes you'll see systems change extensions that way.
