Water self ionizes to a small extent creating equal
concentrations of hydronium and hydroxide ions.
What is the ion product, Kw of water at 25oC?

a. 1.0 x 10 1 b. 1.0 x 10 14
c. 1.0 x 10 4 d. 1.0 x 10 7
e. concentrations too small to measure reliably.

The ion product is the product of the concentration of hydrogen ions times the concentration of hydroxide ions. I gave you this product in other responses.
