Hi,

My Employer withheld my Social security & Medicare taxes in spite of submitting proof from IRS. I worked for 4 different employers everyone withhold my Social security & medicare. Please help me how to get refund from 05.

Nick:

Sorry, but it is too late to request a refund of Social Security and Medicare taxes withheld for 2005, because you have just over three years to submit the request.

The deadline for 2005 was 15 April 2009.

Sorry.

Hi,
Thanks for the response although I cannot apply for 2005, can I still apply for 2006 onwards. If yes what are the forms do I need to send to IRS. Do I need to include my W2 for that period and other tax documents.

Thanks,
Nick

You will file Form 843. It is filed separately. Read about filing Form 843: Your U.S. Tax Return: Social Security and Medicare (FICA) Taxes for Non-resident Exempt Individual (http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/03/non-resident-exempt-individual-social.html)
