My friend imed saying my ex called my cell and my voicemail wasn't set up. I live at home and it's late so he didn't call the house phone. My friend wanted me to call him and I said no and I'm proud! Lol. There really is nothing to say to him, I haven't talked to him on the phone for like a year and NC for 30 days. I have made too much progress to talk to him!

OK so I was really proud when I did not talk to him, but I am wondering if I missed out on an opportunity. My main problem is it is over a month of NC and before that I tried to get him to talk to me for MONTHS with him giving me the cold shoulder the whole time. Did I do the right thing by not taking his call?

Why would you call someone when your trying to get pass them? Then the icing on the cake was that he was giving you the cold shoulder before your went NC by not talking to you. Keep up the NC. Tell your friend you don't want to hear about him wanting to talk to you. He is the past now and you don't back track.

These types of situations are a test of how much progress you have made. If you contact him, then all the progress you have made will go down the drain and you will have to restart the recovery.
Stay strong!

Here's the deal.
If you honestly believe you could talk to this person without having any feelings or hopes for some kind of future with them, then go for it.
However, the simple fact that you posted on here worrying about a missed opportunity shows that you still do ;)
Take the advice that everyone has posted before me. Let it go. If, somewhere down the line, this guy wants to take another shot at contacting you, then maybe you can consider it then. For now, no worries. What kind of opportunity would you have missed, anyway?

Maybe I am just nosey, but I am curious. If you feel like telling us more please do... I am wondering the following:
You mentioned you live at home, how old are you?
You said you were a mother, is he the father?
Those items make a difference to me in how I would answer this question, NC with "babies daddy" ? Can it really work? And for how long?

OK so I broke NC yesterday and sent him an ecard to see if that would get him to talk to me. He hasn't responded, but I also didn't get a confirmation email that he received it. Guess I should go back to NC.
NC 1 day lol
