I am looking for some advice on my Murray Lawn mower. I started it the other day and after a few passes it died and now only turns over. Replaced oil, plugs. It appears to only get a spark on one of the plugs. No spark on the other. I removed the air filter and I do get a flame shooting out of the carb, but will not start... A bit frustrating to say the least and I am not very mechanically inclined but can follow directions well... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I don't have any numbers here for the engine size of
Make
If the spark is going to one cylinder only. This problem can only happen on V-Twin engines. The problem could either be a bad magneto or a bad diode. There is one diode for each cylinder

Where would the diode be located? Magneto?
Thanks for your response...

I don't even know the HP yet. If you could give me the No#s on the engine
Here is what a magneto looks like and what it does to produce energy for spark at the plug.

The diode is used to change the voltage from the stator

I appreciate all your input. I narrowed it downt to the coil. I replaced and now it runs good as new.
Thanks again for all your help,
Much appreciated
