Hi,

I am looking to up grade my Ram as I am getting the 'virtual memory low' error message and it goes slow.

What I need to know is how much Ram can the laptop handle, I believe it to be 512mb max?

Also it currently has 224mb of Ram installed (factory installed), so can I add a Ram card to it (e.g. 256mb) or do I have to replace the Ram card installed with a new 512mb card?

Cheers

For that error message, you can adjust the paging file which should help

Go down till you see
How to manually change the size of the virtual memory paging file

How to set performance options in Windows XP (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308417)

And read down from there and take time doing so, no need to rush

Post back with any questions
