My doctor subscribed me with this drug called cloxacillin sodium when I had this red bulges on my skin with puzz. I take this drug every time I had this problem. My doctor and my daughter's pedia said that it's safe for breastfeeding mothers like me but I'm kind of worried because my daughter is 1 yr and 4 months now, she was born last Dec.22, 2007 and she still can't walk on her own. She always fall every time she attempts to walk. She still can't talk. Well she mumbles all the time but it cannot be understood. Is my child still normal or is she not because of the side effect of this drug I took? Help

What is cloxacillin?

A synthetic form of penicillin effective against germs that have developed resistance to natural penicillin.

You must trust your doctor!

Thanks Rolcam for the answer. I appreciate it. By the way, are you a parent to? Can you give me your ideas how to teach my child how to learn to walk and talk?

Your child should be evaluated for developmental delays. You must act as your child advocate. If you are not happy with your ped. Get another until you are satisfied.

I would not be too over concerned.
In my estimation , she is still very young.
I am now 78, with 5 children , 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
I have walked at 11 months and talked
At 13 months.
None of the above have achieved that.
As to advice:-
Get her to mix with other children preferably a nursery with children her age.
Children are great imitators, they copy others.
You must find time to spend with her on a one to one basis, reading books to her aloud.
Keep repeating short words spelled out aloud:-
EXAMPLE:-
D o g doggu wooff in her face
C a t cattu miau in her face

Get her to do it to you.
Teach her a couple of new words a day.
She will accumulate a short vocabulary in no time.
Plenty of patience and determination.
Good luck.
