I have been installed a watts RO system,my Q is about drain line that come out from RO.

I don't know how to stop draining? All the time is draining water, no matter whether is using or not.

DO I need to cancel drain tube?

Thanks in advance for your help,

RO system may give you good filtrated water - but it is also highly inefficient system if you look at the amount of water it wastes to produce filtrated water. I believe it is in the neighborhood of 1:96, meaning it will use 96 units of water to produce 1 unit of filtrated water. The storage tank under your sink holds about 2 glns of filtrated water. That means it filtrates and dumps 192 gallons of water to fill the tank. All water drains through 3/16 plastic tube. Also, as you keep using filtrated water, it keeps refilling tank. Therefore, it constantly filtrates and drains . It takes about 24-36 hours to produce first full tank of filtrated water. If you don't use any filtrated water, tank will remain full and the unit will stop filtrating - and also draining.

Hope that answers your question... Thank you... Milo

Check if all valves are open including the valve on the tank itself.

Also, there is a possibility that you will have to wait 24 hours before your RO system filtrates enough water to show at your dispenser spout. As said before, RO system filter water very slowly - and 1st tank may take 1-3 days to fill.

Question: do you hear it draining ?
