I have a whirlpool tub in my master bath. I went to use it a few weeks ago and it suddenly won't work when you push the start button. We have checked the fuses and all that but can't figure out anything obvious. Who should we call? A plumber or an electrician?

The first thing I would check is the switch. It works on air pressure. A sharp plumber can check out the electrical end and order the switch if that's what he finds faulty. Good luck, Tom

Tom said it: check the air switch. It is connected via 1/8" plastic tube. It may have got loose and slipped out. Also, the pump has a reset button. That button may be tripped. Moreover, each whirpool tub should be on separate, dedicated and GFCI receptacle. That receptacle may be tripped, too...

Check these out. There is a good chance that one of these fixes will restore power to your whirpool tub motor.

Let us know what you found out... Thanks... Milo
