My UltraWash is 4 yrs old and has never given any problems until recently. The dishes are not being washed, particularly on the top shelf. How do I tell if my dishwasher is filling up and if the sprayers are working?

Can you hear the water running? If you start unit and after it is in cycle, open door and you should still see if water is coming from sprayers. Do the sprayers turn freely?

After not running dishwasher for over 1 week, today I washed a load and it washed the dishes completely. However, for a normal wash cyle it took 3 hours... this seems excessively long. Before running the dishwasher, I removed the sprayers and reattached them.. they turn freely before and after this. I also lifted and pushed on the float that keeps water from getting too high and it moved freely. It's a mystery. Now if I can just figure out how to shorten the cycle, I'll be totally happy. Thanks for your input
