So I have been on depo for 10 months now n just recently I have been feeling very sick to my stomach, not hardly eating or sometimes over eating, extreme fatigue, very moody and having colostrum leaking out. I have an 11 month old daughter but I am beginning to think I'm pregnant again. It feels like it but my test came up negative. My question is.. how effective is the depo? ( I also am not getting any periods on depo)

No contraception is 100% effective.

Hormone based contraceptives such as depo can produce pregnancy symptoms as they basically 'trick' the body into thinking it is already pregnant.

If you have any concerns go to your doctor and have a blood test done :)

You are pretty safe on the Depo shot, but yes, you often will not menstrate while using this birth control method. While it's not 100% safe, it is highly effective and you are unlikely to be pregnant.

You should still see your doctor because these symptoms may be caused by side effects of the birth control. You have many options available and should choose an option that works best with your system.

Schedule an appointment and describe your symptoms to the doctor.
