My business partner and I just started a commercial cleaning business and we need a step-by-step process of the whole bidding procedure. (QUESTION 1)We are needing to figure out where to look for businesses who are accepting bids. Is there a mutual place where businesses go whom are looking for commercial cleaning?(QUESTION 2) Once we find a place who is accepting bids, how do we go about placing a bid? Such as, what should a bid consist of? If you have an example bid that would be great! We would like to thank you in advance for all your help.
Sincerely,

Hi QualityFirst,
May I start by asking you what you already know? So I can have a starting point.
It sounds as though you may not know this business very well or is it that you are experienced in the operations side and not the business and sales side?
A few questions if I may;
Did you purchase a franchise or did you and your partner start your own company?
Pricing and bidding can vary by the types of companies you are calling on and also in different parts of the country (Example; bidding and pricing in metro areas as compared to more rural areas. Even some metro areas in different parts of the country are different).
Bidding to property management companies as compared to buildings that are owned and operated by the owners of the building/s.
Please take the time to respond to these few questions and I would be happy to continue, I have a little experience as I have been in this business for over 35 years and presently own a building service company and two supporting companies in the Chicago area. We do business in Chicago and the 12 surrounding counties, plus north western and central Indiana.
Thanks,
Stringer
