My daughter is at one of the turnposts of life, and needs alternatives. She is currently modeling clothes, and does´nt know if to pursue this lifestyle as a career, and would like to know more by looking into clothing and accessory design courses. Can you help? Thanks for any info you can provide. Sincerely, LJN

Check out the colleges and universities in your area. I'm sure a lot of them offer Fashion courses. I'm doing a Fashion arts course in September, its more the business side of fashion. But there are Fashion design courses, where she can actually make the clothes.

I doubt that she will find a free school. But there are always scholarships and grants that she can look into! Good luck to you and her!

Free is hard to come by for anything... especially fashion schooling $$$

I'm working with the how to fashion design with bob martin series. It is much much more inexpensive than schooling and it has given me the chance to try it out. Find out if I like design, kind of same story as your daughter, except modeling part lol.

Bob is a highly qualified teacher also.. check out his credentials.

Anyhow you should look into it, hope that helps.
Lots of luck!

There will be nothing free worth doing,
And even "online" paid course are limited in this field.

The art institutes have awesome fashion design and fashion business degrees (bachelors) and the financial aid people will do anything to get you grants and loans and other money to come to their school. She should look into those :)
