Greetings,

I have an old hen house on my property that I am converting to a guest house. Naturally perhaps, there is currently no plumbing in the cabin-like structure. I want to add a toilet from Clivus Multrum or suchlike, but I am wondering about how to add a shower considering that it would be far from the main house and therefore not connected to the graywater recycling. What to do? How can I install a shower and where would the graywater then need to be redirected? I appreciate your input. Thanks very much.

you need to build a dry well. : the easiest way and least expensive is to dig a pit, fill it with 3/4in rock about three foot deep and 10x10 foot wide. Pipe your drains to them about a foot under the ground. Then put about 4in of dirt on top and plant grass. This is called an evaporation pit if your soil is good it won't leach out except in heavy rains! Please pardon the caps.
