I have not used Makari but I have read that it works for some but has made some breakout.
Try clicking on some of links at the bottom of this thread where other members have discussed this product, or you can just do a search on the forum for Makari.

If you decide not to purchase Makari, try purchasing a product with Glycolic acid or if your skin is sensitive, get lactic acid. It renews the skin which is good for acne scars. And with that you can get a lightening cream or lotion for the hyperpigmentation with real skin lightening ingredients in such as Kojic acid or arbutin. For more ingredients check out the FAQ https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/skin-lightening/skin-lightening-frequently-asked-questions-190905.html

Also, using sunscreen is essential. SPF15 or higher is preferable. Using glycolic acid or lactic acid makes your skin sensitive to sunlight.

Don't expect to see results overnight. No product is going to make you light in a day or 2. Be patient.

I had a bad reaction when I used Makari, first time round too. I lightened significantly and then had a terrible breakout around my nose and chin. I have never had problem skin, so this was a real shock to me and I had to stop using it. I have used it since and I don't know if they have changed their formulation, but to date I have not had the bad reaction. I do not use it every day and I only apply in the day, never at night. I also use retin A , which should also help combat any breakouts.

Which makari products were you ladies using that caused the breakouts? Do you have sensitive skin? Were the bumps small and itchy? I got steroid acne from a skin lightening cream callled "clear tone" there was a steroid in it. The bumps were so small and itchy so I wonder if Makari has a steroid in it?

For those of you who said it worked--were you able to maintain the results?

Makari was terrible for me, made me lighter but the patches I was trying to fade got much more visible. After I stopped using it, I went 2 shades darker. That is the worst product I ever used.

I used for a while to get rid of scars and it worked like a dream. I had break-out but mixed it with a strong moisturiser. The only reason you break out is because some of the ingridients rob your skin of it's natural moisture. But the tub that I had ran out and when I went to buy another it made me darker, I tried 2 more tubs and gave up. I think they may have been fake so buy it from the actual site and not from vendors. And mix it with moisturisers like aveeno cream because it works wonders.

By bumps do you mean spots/acne?
Because I have a medication for that which I use at night
So I was thinking to use this at night then the day cream during the day?
To get an even balance?

Hey AM using makari face cream right now.I saw slight signs of breaking but immediately controlled that with neutrogena acne wipes.. they are great! So now what I do is use makari 3/4 times a week on my face and also I apply lemon juice on my face every time I can.. atleast once every day.let it stay as long as you like.u can use the lemon juice from the small green bottles in the grocery shop.. thats what I use it seems economical.

And oh I use the makari pills too not so sure about them though.. its been about two weeks. And I put bio claire on my body.it working for now!

Anyone used the body lotion and got any results?

Do you mean the hand and body lotion?

No, this one does not lighten. The body milk is supposed to lighten.

I started with Bio claire products which were so baddddddd they gave me stretchmarks on my arms and inner thighs.. used strivectine to take care of that.. I use Makari products all over my body and they work wonders... what you have to put in mind is that makari products are not for all skin types.they are mostly meant for dry skins and they do say that on their site..
You also have to use antiseptic toner or the soap to stop the breakouts... its worked well for me and am 4shades lighter... been using it for over 1yr ;-)

Well I started at the End of November, and I've noticed a huge difference using the body milk. I used nadinola along with it and it really made the process speed up. I didn't like the night cream.

To wonderlust, to start I had very hard skin (not face) before I used bio clare, my skin could withstand almost anything... but I wanted my skin lighter so I used boi clare for over year, it has serious steroids in them, after a while your skin gets irritated and thin but incredibly lighter, I asked a dermotoligist or something like that who did the research for me, the steroids are hidden and not written on the product so no one will know, I do regreat using it even though at that time my skin looked lovely but after say 6months I started noticing how my skin would react to things and get thinner as I would start seeing my veins a whole lot clearer than I used to lol, very worrying so I started using it about 3-4 times a week but still I got the redness icthing etc... it goes deep down into your skin and your skin changes so when you want to stop using it and change to another to another product they don't work and takes months for them to work whereas as a normal person itl take max 30 days for a product to work, but for me it was hassle buying twice as many products after months and months. Bio clare is that type product that you can't stop using, it won't allow other skin lightening products to work on your skin or even if it does it takes twice as long. This is from my experience. I don't use bio clare anymore and wish I had never come across even though it my skin look sexy for a time.
