I am currently on Provera for irregular cycles, but am ttc, will it affect me getting pregnant by forcing me to have a cycle or will it help??:confused:

Provera, for irregular cycles, is to help them become more regular, thus the assumption is often made that you will likely ovulate more regularly. However, Provera is not for ovulation and having regular periods does not mean ovulation is occurring each cycle.

It is often one of the first steps in helping a couple become pregnant. Your doctor will likely also want to do some testing to determine whether you are actually ovulating as well. If not, something like Clomid may be prescribed.
