My cat just gave birth to a litter of kittens a month ago. Everything was fine for the first week or so but then I noticed that the usual amount of food just wasn't cutting it so I decided that since she was nursing 4 kittens I'd give her just a little bit more food. But she'll also eat that & continue to meow. A few days ago I put her outside & she came back with a bird in her mouth & she ate it right in my front porch. I've noticed that she hasn'teven been eating all of the food that I give her anymore & has become more aggressive even with her own kittens. What should I do?

From my very limited knowledge of cats I have found that when nursing they eat about twice as much as they normally would.
Perhaps you weren't giving quite enough so she went foraging, and now she prefers catching her own food.
The kittens would have tiny little, VERY sharp teeth now so she would get a little angry at them if they are biting on her teats.

I have had many cats through the years and when a Mom goes hunting the best thing to do to stop it is not let her outside and offer her more food and different flavors. Try mixing some wet with the dry. Also when she wants it give her lots of love. My experience is when they start hunting they start going feral and that is not a good thing.

She needs a lot of milk to drink because she has to nurse the little once, I know I had a cat who had a litter and she drinked a lot of milk.

Do not feed the mother cat milk, especially cow milk. Most cats are lactose intolerant, and if anything this could make her sick.
You should be feeding the mother cat a high quality kitten food during this period. Remember, she's feeding herself and these kittens so she naturally is going to want to eat more.
