On my 1993 honda accord sometimes I can hear the feul pump running and other times I have to turn the key a couple times to hear it so it will crank .what could cause that? I heard it was the feul pump relay so I changed it and it still acts up. It never left me stranded but at least once a day it will do this. Is the feul pump going out?

For two seconds, when you turn the ignition switch to ON (Position II), you should always hear the fuel pump run. During this interval, it's pressurizing the fuel rail.

If you don't hear the fuel pump run every time the ignition switch is turned to ON, check the ignition switch for wear, pitting, or melting:

If the Check Engine Light stays on sometimes, check the ECM with the K-Test.

Honda fuel pumps are extremely reliable--I haven't seen one fail, yet.
