I am almost 57 years old and disabled. I was recently turned down on my Social Security Disability claim. However, I do anticipate it will go through on my appeal. The problem is figuring out how to make it until that happens! I need to know if there is anyone out there able to help me either by gift or by loan. I would not even mention a loan if not for backpay due me on the disability claim. I already have backpay due from September 2008 ongoing. My husband and his son also live here with me and neither have been able to find any kind of a job. Our vehicle is so old and has so many miles they wouldn't be able to go very far anyway. (1988 model) So, it is up to me to try to pay the bills and I am really not able to do that, although I try every day to list items on ebay to sell and try to pay the bills. :rolleyes:I am selling our own personal property to do this. $200 a month is about all I can stretch this to though and it won't pay the bills. My electric bill is now over $700 and I have no idea how to keep it on, which I will face shut-off within the next two weeks.

I have a Paypal account if anyone wants to donate anything to help me! It is PRIVATE INFO REMOVED We sub-exist on about $20 a week for three people right now, so I do know quite well how to budget money. If I had any to budget!

If someone would be willing to make a loan until my disability comes through, that would also help. I am just having a very hard time with being so sick and still having to try to make ends meet.

Yes, I trust God with this. That's why I am here with this question! He is leading me and guiding me to someone. Is it you? If it is, please help me!

Another thing I should mention is that my work record has been so staggered I don't have enough credits now for SSDI and will only qualify for SSI, which pays much less but I could manage on it regardless I think.

God Bless each one reading this!

I am so sorry you are having to go through this. The economy is terrible these days. I often wonder if this isn't a depression rather than a recession.

Now, I have remove the paypal info. This site is not for donations, we are ordinary people who live ordinary lives. Many of us face what you are going through right now. Why can't your husband or son find a job?

If you have not, try the RedCross, Salvation Army, St. Vincent DePaul Society, etc.

I have not tried the RedCross or the St. Vincent DePaul Society. The Salvation Army has helped me one time with my electric bill this year though, which saved it from being turned off again. I will investigate these other places and see what happens.

I'm sorry about putting the paypal address in, I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to do that. I suppose I just got carried away asking for help.

We live in a very remote area. It is at least an hour's drive either way you get out of here through rough mountainous terrain. There has been nothing to be found job-wise within that range. My vehicle is a 1988 and not in the greatest of shape either. If they could find something within 30 minutes of here we might be able to handle that for a while. Nothing has been found though. Thank you for your nice response. I so appreciate that!

I don't know where you live but in the U.S. you can apply for public assistance, they will help pay your rent and give you food stamps, also a small cash grant for necessities.

I know many people are reluctant to accept this type of help but it is there for people such as yourself, for times of crisis.
