If you live in an apartment building then it may not matter if there is a foreclosure. In financings of buildings and complexes very often the landlord will have to assign the leases to the lender. That means that in a foreclosure the lender would take over as the landlord and your lease would continue.

If you are living in a place where the landlord has not assigned the leases to the lender then the lender would most likely have to notify you if a foreclosure has begun after you've moved in. If you don't get notified and the foreclosure goes through to auction then you'll be given at least 30 days notice to move out. If you haven't moved out within that time then the lender or new owner has to file a lawsuit for eviction, which should give you at least another 2 weeks or more to find a new place.
