Hi have king charles he is just over one year old and has skin allergie were he bites his feet he rubbs his face along the floor until his mouth is red the vet has had him on sterodes but now wonts him to goand have tests called rast has anyone heard of these or there dog had them any advice would be helpful if I have tests done he will have to be shaved thanks

No, they don't shave the entire dog. Just one particular spot where they take the blood. The Rast test is administered to humans to. A simple blood test to detect what the allergy is related to.

The rast test is a blood test to determine what the dog is allergic to.
Have you tried feeding your dog a natural dog food with no preservatives? This can be a common problem with dog allergies.
There are also antihistamines for dogs but your vet probably won't prescribe them without doing the test first to determine what is causing the allergic reaction.
As for shaving him... it's a small price to pay for making him more comfortable in the long run, the hair grows back pretty quick.
