I have a bryant 395 cav , I replaced the control panel a wile back, after which the furnace worked swimmingly, however now I cannot get the a\c to come on at alli found a wire in the attic with a red, white and a blue little wires in a grey insulation that is reminiscent of the thermostat wire that I hooked up on the furnace. Is this my problem? If so where do those wires connect to if not does anyone have any idea where I begin on this?? because my wife is not amused and when mamma isn't amused... everybody's miserable
Thanks john

Is this a forced air system with a condenser outside? (central air). Let us know more about the functioning or the system. Heat works fine, but does the blower on the inside unit come on when calling for ac, does the unit ouside come on when calling for ac. Need a little more info here and we will do our best to keep mamma amused.lol. Hope we can help. Like I said, let us know exactly what is happening with all portions of system when calling for cooling.

Yes the condenser is outside, no nothing happens when calling for ac,no blower nor does the unit outside come on when calling for ac on the thermostat

Take the cover off the thermostat. Let me know what color wires you have there and what letters they are hooked to on the stat. You should have red-r, white-w, green-g, yellow or blue-y. Or something of this nature. If you jump r to y, the compressor(and maybe the furnace fan) should come on. If you do this and only the unit outside comes on, then jump r,y, and g together and see what happens. Let me know what you find.
