My fiance' recently did a paternity test for a 7 year old boy and found out that the little boy is his. The test came about because the mother is receiving assistance from the state they required that a test be done to determine the child's father because no fathers name was issued on the birth certificate. We are wondering about the likeliness of getting sole custody of this boy. His mother yes provides for him but in the past we have seen this little boy with bruises all over his back and bumps on his head my fiancée and I went to check on the boy once and walked in on the mother in bed with 2 men and the little boy was crying outside the door for his mommy to come out we have documented those times but didn't do a police report. Just needing a little help.

Without getting DCS (Child Services) involved, I would estimate the chances are next to none. The mother will have to be PROVEN unfit and that is usually done by an official organization.
