Hello:

I own property in St. Maarten and had a client who in my contract started they only had 2 people in their party. I live in Buffalo, NY and they Live in Albany, NY. I have a signed contract from my clients who neglected to tell me they were bringing their 3 kids. They broke into my extra bedroom and my maid notified me of the extra people. They owe me an extra $800.00 dollars and I would like to take them to small claims court. Being that the contract is in NYS can I take them to court? Thank you for the advise.

I agree, the contract is between 2 US citizens. That the damage occurred on foreign soil isn't really an issue as long as the damage can be proven.
