I have a older model craftsman riding mower model #917252502, 13hp,6spd,42" cut. It has been awhile since it was started during the early part of the year, but it start up and ran for about 5 minutes,I tried to restart it but with no success! Checked the plug, checked the fuel lines, had to replace a section. The battery is fully charged and the motor does turn! Also I have spark in the intake but no firing! The fuel is a little stale but this problem is not that! I live in Florida and you know fast grass grows, please give insight, thanks, spoxlogic:D

How stale, I just read a sears manual on another matter and they say to not use fuel at all from last seaon, especially if its 10% alcohol.

I usually leave the fuel in the tank and I really have no problems starting it,I feel it's another issue.. thanx it did help:cool:

It is either fuel or ignition. Remove the plug wire, back the plug out andreattach the wire, allow theplug to ground itself to the blco. Turn your ignition key and see if you have a blue spark
