How do you remove the rear tire of a MTD lawn tractor? I've taken out the hex bolt and bell washer and I still am unable to remove the tire. Thank you.

You mean remove the rear wheel, right? Once you remove the bolt and the washer all that holds the wheel on is friction and rust. Jack the tractor up so both rear wheels are off the ground. Put your feet againist the frame so you can grasp the tire with both hands and firmly pull towards yourself, have someone else reinstall the bolt only half way and then tap on it with a hammer. Don't hit so hard that you will strip the bolt threads but it can take a good whack.

Be careful pounding on axle too hard since you can mess up transmission.
