:rolleyes:My old toilet was pulled, and the floor guy took out the old flooring when he put new flooring down and was tiled, the Brass flange was sticking above the finish floor about an inch and a quarter. He cut the brass flange off where it meets the copper tubing, so alls I have is a copper pipe sticking out of the finish tile floor. What do I do, do I cut the copper tubing flush with the floor and screw down a new flange around it and maybe pean it over and put a deep seal ring in , I'm unsure. You cannot get at the closet ell from down below, because the toilet is on the second floor and the ceiling is finished downstairs.

Dana, Cut the pipe flush with the new floor. Get "closet ring" that will fit inside the pipe. Flange will overlap onto the tile. Attach new closet ring to the floor with brass screws. Proceed with installing mounting brass bolts, wax ring and toilet.

(Sorry, I don't have photo this particular closet ring in my files. I am sure one of our plumbing Experts will post it here for you later )
