I am a 35 year old women and oberweight be 15 KGS. I have recently conceived and is my second pregnancy. I would like to know if I can loose weighgt during the pregnant period or can control my weight. I have been working out to loose weight but got pregnant before I could have knocked the entire weight.

Please advice me as I want to avoid health complications during the pregnant period.

It's best to wait until after you deliver your baby to go back to trying to lose weight. Right now just focus on maintaining your weight. Eat healthy foods (not only for the sake of weight, but for your baby).

If you were already active, you can continue to be fairly active throughout most of your pregnancy (unless your doctor recommends taking it easy). Light exercise is usually OK (casual walks in the park, yoga, or water aerobics).

Don't try to lose weight during your pregnancy. Eat good healthy foods, and follow your appetite. You may find that your body knows what it needs. If you are overweight enough to be dangerous to the pregnancy, you may find that you feel so sick you can't eat.

Stay active, it will help you control your weight and make labour easier.

And when the baby is born, breastfeed. A baby is the only thing that will let you sit in front of the TV and get the fat sucked off you.
