View Full Version : Why Excel attachment getting zipped in Emails?

Hai,

When I sending Excel (2007) Spread sheets as attachment in Email, it will be zipped and added some file? Is it virus attacked file ? Kindly clarify and How to solve this problem ?

Scan your system with a FULLY updated antivirus application as you clearly have some sort of issue here.

Actually you may have a ZIP utility that is set to automatically do this. WinZip for example has that feature. Or it may be part of your e-mail client. As long as the ZIP file is a valid archive and the recipient can unzip it, its actually better to send a Zip file.
