7 Don'ts After a Meal

1. Don't smoke - Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).
2. Don't eat fruits immediately - Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1 hr before meal.
3. Don't drink tea - Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.
4. Don't loosen your belt - Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted and blocked.
5. Don't bathe - Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.

6. Don't walk about - People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actuality this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.
7. Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.

Please provide documents that refer to this. What experiments and what experts?

2. Don't eat fruits immediately - Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1 hr before meal.

Complete hogwash. Fruit is one of the main food groups and can, and should, be eaten with every meal; before, during, or after.

3. Don't drink tea - Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.

 Again, you get this info where?

4. Don't loosen your belt - Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted and blocked.

Do you mean intusucception? Again, this is ignorant information as the food does not go from your mouth to your intestines. It takes hours from the food to empty from your stomach to your intestines.

5. Don't bathe - Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.

Don't think so either. Walking increases peristalysis, thus increases the activity of the digestive system and aids in decreasing constipation and impaction.

7. Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.

This is the only one I HALF agree with. Don't sleep immediately after meals. But it won't cause infection.

Rolcam, I suggest you remain within your "expertise" of this site and stay away from the medical boards. Every post you have posted in the medical area I can deubnk, and will continue to do so. You are giving false and misleading information that could be dangerous to the health of others.

Please post your sites on all of these points. If this is not something you wrote, please post the site.

I'm particularly interested in the "loosening your belt after eating will easily cause ..." statement.

I'm not a smoker but I don't understand why smoking a cigarette following a meal is 10 times more dangerous (concerning cancer) than smoking a cigarette at any other time.
