Hi everyone! I'm new here. My husband and I have decided trying to conceive and I stopped taking my because 4 days before the end of my pack. 4 days after stopping the pill I got my period and it was a normal light 4 day period, but with heavier cramping then I am used to. From the day I got my period until about two weeks later I was so nauseous I could barely eat! I was prepared for the side effects of getting off the pill and now luckily the nausea has surpassed.

My husband and I had sex every other day this entire past month and we were hoping to be one of those lucky people who got pregnant right off the pill. Yesterday was the end of my 25 day cycle (I was 25 days on the pill) and yesterday afternoon when I went to the bathroom I wiped and there was faint pink. Since then there has been a slight, slight hint of brown when I wipe. So the part where I am confused is could this be implantation bleeding or is this the beginning of my period? Its really hard because I have no clue what my normal cycle is since this is the first month off the pill. Anyone out there been in this situation?

I took two early pregnancy test this week and they were negative.

Here are my symptoms:

- Boobs hurt, nipples mainly
- Headache
- Frequent Urination
- Headache
- Cramps since yesterday... mild
- Lower back ache today
- VERY bloated like... hard to explain, but I Don't feel myself
- Eating everything in sight!! I am very hypoglycemic and I have a very strict no sugar, no simple carb diet. When I eat sugar/carb I get really sick. Well, for the past week and a half I have been eating so much sugar! Its as if I'm going to die if I don't eat as much as possible right this minute! And its not making me sick at all! Seriously this is the first time I have eaten this much sugar in years. Its all very weird. I just don't get if this would be a sign of pregnancy or maybe my body is all messed up from getting off the pill.

Sorry this is a little bit long... I guess the main question here is did anyone else experience any of this when they got off the pill or were pregnant?

Thanks!!

My mother is hypoglycemic also and she craves sugar when her sugar is too low. Now your symptoms to me sound like PMS which I suffer from and I have all those symptoms every month. It is probably because you stopped the pill considering some doctors recommend the pill for people who suffer from extreme PMS like me! Also light spotting and brown discharge can be the start of a miscarriage which I also have been though that. I would ask your DR. to be certain though.

If I were you I would wait a couple of weeks and take a hpt. I am one of the people who get off the pill and poof instantly pregnant... but it makes it a real guessing game because sometimes it takes a while for your cycle to get regulated again. My LMP was October 13, BUT I went for an ultrasound when thought I was 8 weeks, turns out I ovulated later... and was only 6 weeks. Anyway, try and wait a couple of weeks and test. I know the waiting is the hardest part... I will cross my fingers for you!!

It takes a while for your body to get back on track after going off the pill. I wouldn't be too alarmed.

Most doctors recommend that you wait at least 3 months after stopping the pill before trying to conceive.

Implantation bleeding is not as common as you think. Yes, it can happen, but it's not the norm.

Wait until at least a week after your period would usually be due, then try taking an hpt using first morning urine.

Good luck.

Well, I am no longer confused... I am happy to say that this morning I got my period. I am so happy because a lot of people take months to get regular again after getting off the pill. Now I know my cycle! Yay!

Hopefully it will continue, but don't be worried if you notice it is off a bit still the next couple of months. Sometimes it becomes regular right away, sometimes it takes a few cycles.
