Can I run a 220 single phase dc motor controller on 208 single phase ?

Is this true?

If this was a typo and you meant AC, then why only asking about the motor controller, and not the motor?

A controller does not utilized voltage, it is only a switch, other than the coil, if it is a magnetic controller, which must match the voltage the control circuit is providing.

I can go all over all the possibilities. May be better to re-read the question, correct any typos, and provide detail on the controller.
