I have a new 2-pole, 30A, 24v contactor made by Square D to replace an old Honeywell contactor on my Rheem AC. The old contactor is clearly marked with "L" and "T" sides. The new contactor has coil terminals on both sides, and no markings with regard to "L" and "T". In other words, it looks completely symmetrical.
My assumption is that I can install the new contactor without worrying about orientation; that either end can be "L" or "T", obviously provided I connect the wires to the same ends as before. Am I correct in this assumption?
Thanks,
