I had an herniated disc in my lower back and was prescribed tramadol. Excellent drug in helping me manage the pain. I take 50mg for every 6 hours is enough to get me through the day. Been on it for around 10 months. Are there any other tramadol users here who know of a possible long term effect of tramadol? Thanks for your replies.

My dad has been on tramadol for many, many years for back pain, he takes 250mg a day as prescribed by his doctor.

He has had no ill effects from this drug but it's always best to consult your doctor about any medications.

Hi. I just suggest that you monitor your intake of the medicine and your doctor informed of it. As tramadol (http://www.tramadol.tc/) may be habit forming, you might have difficulties getting off of it if you misuse it. Also, discuss with your doctor about how to gradually get off it. To be safe, you know. Hope this helps.
