I had an herniated disc in my lower back and was prescribed tramadol. Excellent drug in helping me manage the pain. I take 50mg for every 6 hours is enough to get me through the day. Been on it for around 10 months. Are there any other tramadol users here who know of a possible long term effect of tramadol? Thanks for your replies.

My dad has been on tramadol for many, many years for back pain, he takes 250mg a day as prescribed by his doctor.

He has had no ill effects from this drug but it's always best to consult your doctor about any medications.

Hi. I just suggest that you monitor your intake of the medicine and your doctor informed of it. As tramadol (http://www.tramadol.tc/) may be habit forming, you might have difficulties getting off of it if you misuse it. Also, discuss with your doctor about how to gradually get off it.
