Hello All, I'm new to this so bare with me. Me and my wife split up a couple years ago and I new her ex-husband. They have 2 kids together and they were living with a mutual agreement. I stayed with her ex for a couple of months while we worked things out-stupid idea- anyway he had his 14 yr. old cousin living there, never knew her and still don't but I wouldn't give her money and buy her things like I did the kids, so she told him that we did things together which NEVER in a million yrs would happen. I called children services and had the whole ordeal investigated on my be-half and she was the one at fault. Now a couple years later he has full custody and we want them back. He is going around telling friends, family and everyone he knows that I'm a pedophile and shouldn't be trusted. This is ruining my reputation in a small village that we live in and I need to know if I can press slander charges on him and also if there is a lawsuit that can be brought on him to make him stop and make him pay for the suffering of all this.

Hello net:

Sure you can sue him. Nope that alone doesn't have the power to make him stop, but if has any brains at all, when he's being sued, he'll stop.

I don't know what you mean by "press slander charges"... Slander isn't a criminal offense. All you can do is sue him. Go visit a lawyer today.

Make sure you have the findings and case number of the children's services case that exonerated you.
