4 chairs $22 each, picnic table $212, and an umbrella for $85. If the sales tax rate is 6% what is the total.

4 x 22= 88 + 212 + 85= 385 x 6% = $408.10

385 x 6% = $408.10

Your answer is correct, but since this is for school, where they may be checking your work and getting picky and all that sort of thing, you need to be careful about how you write things. 385 x 6% doesn't equal 408.10. It equals 23.10 + 385 = 408.10. (Or you can write 385 x 1.06 = 408.10, which would be correct.)
