I have a son who is in jail now he wants to fire his lawyer but she told him he can't fire her because the judge won't allow it . She is alreadt telling him that he needs to take a plea deal because he is not going to win his case, it is like she is saying he is guility before he is proven innocent. And another thing he was on probation and after over a year in jail his probation officer decide to voliate him ,she said she did not know were he was when she did because she came to my house and I told her she said she was going to talk to him in jail when he ask her why all this time she waited to voliate him she said they had his name misspelled in th computer that is not the deal what can he do

My son wrote a letter for motion for dismissal 90 days ago and he has not heard anything about it what do I need to do next

Yes he is in jail now

He was jailed for something else but she just now violated him

He was told to write a formal letter for motion for dismissal

I would like to know if you have a warrant out for your arrest but it is only a 200 dollar case for taking a purse and this person stay somewhere else can a mother hire a lawyer for them while they are out of state and have that lawyer go to court for them and the mother pay the fine and the warrant is dropped without them appearing them self

If he wants to be represented by another Attorney he either fires the first Attorney and hires a new one OR if this is assigned counsel, he writes a letter (copy to the Court) requesting that the Attorney be reassigned and he get another one. The Judge will either approve or deny.

He was charged with violating probation even though he was in jail and couldn't report to the PO?

Is he presently jailed on that violation?

Hello br:

I'd write the letter like Judy said, but I would FIRE my lawyer in my letter citing the reasons, and ask the judge to appoint a new one.

They'll give him a new lawyer - not because they're nice guys - but because the law requires them to.

Did he actually make a Motion to Dismiss or did he write some sort of correspondence concerning a Motion to Dismiss? Criminal Court (civil court) is often formal and a simple letter doesn't suffice.

is there a free website to check for warrants?

Please don't add a question to another thread. No, there is no website where you can check for warrants.

If you search this site for information on warrants you will find the question has been answered more than one hundred times.

I have merged your posts, I am sorry if some of the answers may have been lost.

Do not keep starting new threads about the same thing, this is not a blog and does not work that way.
