If you have 800,000 of current assets, a current ratio of 2.3 and an acid test ratio of 1.6 and working capital of 452,174:

Then you sold merchandise that cost 45,000, for 150,000 what will be your current ratio, acid ratio, current assets, current liabilities and working capital?

First you're going to have to do a little working backwards to figure out what all the original numbers are. Pull out your 3 ratio equations, plug in what you have, and try to work backwards to what you don't know. Then you'll have some missing numbers.

For instance, current ratio is current assets/current liabilities. So you have:

800,000/? = 2.3

Can you solve that for the missing number? And then do the same with the others. (Actually, solving for the missing number in working capital is easier.)

Once that's done, you have to think about what accounts will be affected by the transaction given. What accounts will it increase or decrease? If it affects an account in one of the equations, then that answer will change. So for instance, if you sell inventory, that's going to reduce your inventory, which is a current asset. That's going to affect equations with current assets. Etc. So you change any numbers affected and re-calculate the ratios.

Try to give this a shot. Since we aren't here to actually do your problem for you, see what you can do with the above info, and if you post what you've come up with, then someone can maybe check that for you.
