I had a baby a few months ago and my memory during the pregnancy was so bad I could not even do basic math like 5+5 was like such a problem. I thought it would get better but its gotten worse, basic cognition is still a problem. I cannot remember anything. It seems like I'm suffering from dementia or something else?

Any suggestions thoughts, please help.

I doubt it, I had a child a year ago, and I thought I was losing my mind! Or at least my memory. Now I'm pregnant again and I feel like I just got over it. Its completely normal to feel weird and not feel capable of doing things, when you don't use it you lose it. Just a saying but it fit me so right. I was using baby changing skills and not addition/subtraction skills, so when it was time for me to go back to school I felt lost all the time until my brain kicked back into high gear. If you do feel that it is a bigger problem then consult a doctor, and have a professional opinion!

ah I say your fine even though I'm no professional, shoot, if she's your mom she knows what its like to have kids and lack of memory lol, or maybe she forgot [haha] my mom laughed at me I told her I feel like I forgot my own name. If it gets worse make a dr's appt asap. Don't wait, but if it gets better than hey cool deal. =] good luck with the whole memory thing. And if no luck [buy a memory stick, a usb connection, just so you can always have SOME memory on you =)]

You're not alone. In Bible class we're being taught about pregnancy and child birth and its actually normal to experience this around and after time of birth. What you're going through is normal
