Where do I go or become a morgue assistant

Sort of depends on what level assistant you want to be, Most will be college grads or higher with science degrees

A morgue--go to your local hospital (personnel office)
And apply there... OR... if the morgue doesn't work out...
You can go to your local funeral home and ask the funeral director about being a funeral assistant~
I just (last month) did that--walked in and asked the director if I could make an appointment to talk with him and "role model" him and see how realistic is it that I even consider the prospect of being a funeral assistant there... (He wasn't advertising for help). He ended up creating a position for me and I'm officially on the payroll now.
Go talk to your local folks--hospital or funeral home.
They could at least steer you in the right direction.
