I've been a vegan for almost 7 years now, but a vegetarian for almost 10.

I take my multivitamins daily, which include iron, calcium and other essentials. I eat right but ever since I had my daughter my iron has been very low. I take pills and try to add more veggies that have iron but it's still not quite up there.

I googled this subject and all I got was a bunch of pills and recipes and I don't know which ones to trust [since I've tried so many].

I did see my doctor and he said "Just start eating meat, the pills aren't working nor is adding more vegetables" - great answer right. I've been to several other doctors and all they do is test me and poke me with needles but the result is "take some iron pills".

So if you have any recipes, pills or any advice you can give me it'll be greatly appreciated.

I don't want to eat meat so don't give me that ;)

Iron Rich Foods for Iron Deficiency Anemia (http://www.healthcastle.com/iron.shtml)
This site looked like it might be helpful. I was trying to find out what kind of lentils have the most iron because a friend of mine is a vegetarian, her whole family actually, and her mother always cooked with a lot of lentils and none of them have iron deficiency problems (her dad swears it from the lentils, although there's obviously more to it than just that lol)

And I totally understand you don't want to eat meat, but maybe an occasional egg yolk might not be such a bad idea (I know, non-vegan. But it could always be a last resort :) )
